81-year-old Miami beauty gets an extreme makeover

Miami, September 2006

For about forty days, all eyes will be on Miami's historic 1737 N of Bay Shore Drive building -the present home of the Miami's Women's Club- as it will become the temporary address for the internationally recognized Casa Décor '06 Event, with the participation of local design and style icons Anima Domus and Santiago Bernal.

The 1925 structure, built by August C. Geiger and F. H. Foster, will be the object of admiration and attention from November 9th to December 17th of 2006, as the first time ever Miami Casa Décor event will transform this historic site into the most glamorous and stylish space, courtesy of the talent and fine products of selected Miami area designers and product sources. "We are very excited to be a part of this important affair" -explain Marconi and Silvia Naziazeni, owners of Anima Domus- "It is the first time this prestigious event takes place in Miami and it is our first, in our nearly ten-years in business in this area, to participate in this type of undertaking. We are also very happy to combine our resources and extensive product selection with the talent of award winning designer Santiago Bernal. We feel this event is not only going to restate the importance and recognition of our community in the world of design, art and architecture, but it is also going to benefit a worthy organization."

Casa Decor started in Madrid in the year 1992 and since then it has become the premiere European Annual event where, more than an industry showcase, it has been recognized as a didactic venue where interior space design solutions serve in the recovery of structures with patrimonial value. Every couple of years, new cities are added to the event, and in 2006 Algarve, Milan, London and Miami have joined the many other architecture and design capitals of the World hosting this event.
